Do you have a favorite strain?
Back home, the strain we smoke is OG Kush; it’s a staple in Southern California. In New York City, there’s the Sour Diesel -- that’s a favorite. But in Amsterdam, I like all the Hazes.

Seems like the younger generation likes Kush more than Haze.
I will still go for the OG, because it’s what I smoke back home. I always like to see somebody’s version of it...but I have it so much back home that you also want something different.

Patients and medicinal marijuana groups say they prefer the vaping device for marijuana as an alternative to smoking because they believe you can find lower risks. Some states, including Ny and Minnesota, prohibit patients from smoking the cannabis. In a vape device, the cannabis leaves or concentrate are heated with a temperature that's less than essential for combustion.
Vaping devices, that may be no more than a ball point pen, also provide medicinal marijuana users with more privacy, since the vapor released from the heating device is nearly odorless.
"Vaporized cannabis is an extremely significant trend both in medical and adult use," said Christie Lunsford, a Colorado-based consultant who focuses on issues involving cannabis. "It's consistent, it's almost instantaneous, and it's really appropriate for numerous consumers."

"We think the cannabis market will mimic and mirror the tobacco market," he explained. "We think they'll see this (vapor) like a safer alternative."
Patients need a doctor's approval to find the marijuana, which is typically provided by state approved dispensaries, private growers, and - sometimes - their very own plants should they can't afford the cannabis, which is not paid by most insurance plans.

Concurrently, vaping devices go mainstream because the industry pushes them as an alternative to tobacco. Marijuana dispensaries in a few states also sell the electronic devices.
But vape shops, with their larger number of devices, have seen an uptick in sales especially from consumers who don't need to shop at tobacco stores or head shops, which cater more to recreational use.
